Important information on online databases using Citrix-Terminal-Services
Some of the databases accessible through
- one of the common internetbrowser like Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer
- Java Runtime Environment in at least version 1.5
- If you are behind a firewall, port 1494 must be opened
This configuration is essential and indispensable to work with web-based Citrix applications.
Mac-Nutzer have to be aware that the settings for European or Asian language input cannot be made through the user's own local browser, but have to be made in the Citrix environment. To do so scroll down to the right corner at the bottom of the Citrix frame. As default setting you will see a mark with DE on it for German input. Click this mark and change to the language you need. In case of Japanese please also change the input mode from A (Direct Input) to あ (Hiragana).
