Council on East Asian Studies : at Yale University
Citation: The Council on East Asian Studies (CEAS) at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut was founded in 1961 and continues a long tradition of East Asian Studies at Yale. CEAS provides an important forum for academic exploration and support related to the study of China, Japan, and Korea. For over forty years, it has promoted education about East Asia both in the college curriculum and through lectures and workshops, conferences, cultural events, and educational activities open to faculty, students, and the general public. CEAS has been designated a National Resource Center by the United States Department of Education.

Students of the Internet and of the Chinese language will find recent guides to Chinese Internet resources helpful. Search engines on full-text newspaper websites such as the People's Daily make it easy to track statements by leaders, their biographical information and specific issues. [...] This report introduces several books on Internet resources, information security/hacking, and electronic commerce that have appeared in China over the past several months. Although the net itself remains the best guide to the net, these books are guides to many resources including newspapers, bulletin boards, radio stations, databases, software, and Internet telephone conversations that will be useful to all students of China and the Chinese language.

Catalogue of the Morrison Collection of Chinese Books in 1998. The content of the catalogue and this site are not identical: "The site acts mainly as a supplement to the published catalogue, providing various (non-copyrighted) material that there was no room to include in the catalogue. It also includes catalogue records for Morrison books that have been uncovered since the publication of the catalogue" [information by A.C. West]. Next to the various catalogues this site also contains a short biography of
Robert Morrison and an introduction to the collection.
