Grand Secretariat Archives = 內閣大庫檔案
Description: While the metadata of the database are also searchable freely on the web (http://archive.ihp.sinica.edu.tw/mctkm2/index.html), the subscribed version gives access to actually view and read all the documents. A special viewer is needed so CrossAsia provides access via a Citrix-connection where the viewer is already installed. To enter the subscribed version of the database please click "授權使用" and enter one of the login and passwords given at the entry page. You also have to enter the random number shown in blue. The database allows simple and advanced searches. In the latter you may also select the document's language. Hits lists can be filtered by time, type of document, issuing authority, issuing person and document language. Clicking a sequence number in your hit list will open the detailed view of the documents metadata, by clicking the document icon of these metadata a file is downloaded and shown in the database viewer. To return to the metadata close the viewer by clicking "結束離開"; to further return to the hit list click "回簡目顯示" in the upper left corner of the screen. The metadata of a document may also contain where and in what printed collection of archive materials the respective document is reproduced (mostly in facsimile). However, the reproduction in the database is made from the original, not the printed facsimile. The following collections are referenced by the database: 《明清檔案》 《明清史料》 《清代官書記臺灣鄭氏亡事》 《內閣大庫書檔舊目》 《清代法制研究》 《明清檔案存真選輯》 A selection of example documents are presented in an online exhibition of the Academia sinica (Archives of the Grand Secretariat); explanations of the different genres of documents and other background information are provided by the Grand Secretariats Archive Project, that also provided the metadata of the database: Grand Secretariat Archive Project). A sister project of the National Palace Museum in Tabei is the 《清代宮中檔奏摺及軍機處檔摺件》.
