Against Child Abuse = 防止虐待兒童會 Citation:
Since its inception, Against Child Abuse (ACA) has maintained its uniqueness among Non-Government Organisations (NGO) by providing services solely in the area of child protection, but with a strong emphasis on advocacy. Throughout these years, it has been the policy and tradition of ACA to constantly review its directions, visions and missions in order to keep abreast of developments of Hong Kong and meet its changing needs.
The existing services of ACA are as follows:
Hotline: the public is encouraged to call and report suspected cases of child abuse/neglect. Social workers then try to identify and assess children in risky or abusive situations, and provide professional assistance.
Casework: the cases are handled by social workers who investigate into them and take appropriate action such as counselling, home visit and collateral interview.
Group Work: group work services range from educational, therapeutic, developmental to recreational and networking. Such groups provide the abused children, abusive parents and families the opportunity to explore communication patterns, develop strengths and potentials etc.
Other Services: these services include drop-in consultations, publicity, talks and seminars, volunteer services, training programmes for social work students and volunteers. A lot of emphasis has been put on advocacy through the mass media and community projects.http://www.aca.org.hk/ more Language: chi Chinese, eng English

Asian Art Archive Citation:
AAA’s collection is a dynamic, growing body of material intended to reflect contemporary artistic practice and developments of Asia within an international context. Built through a systematic programme of research and information gathering, AAA is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading public collections of primary and secondary source material about contemporary art in Asia. AAA fills a crucial role by preserving documentation about the field and activates the material it houses through public programmes and research activities. AAA’s activities however are not about ownership; the Archive believes in preservation through sharing and gladly accepts digital copies of material held elsewhere.
Accessibility to the Archive is fundamental to AAA’s vision. As we consider the future of the collection, our energies are focused on opening the Archive, on building up areas of specialisation, increasing digital access to the information in our collection, and fostering individual connections to the material.
With the launch of the Collection Online, AAA is able to offer online access to the digital material in its collection. In addition to scanned images, correspondences, artists’ personal documents, and streaming audio and video of performance art, artist talks, lectures, and other art events, three Special Collections are currently available online, including ‘Materials of the Future: Documenting Contemporary Chinese Art From 1980-1990’; ‘The Chabet Archive’; and ‘Another Life: The Digitised Personal Archive of Geeta Kapur and Vivan Sundaram.’http://www.aaa.org.hk/ more Language: chi Chinese, eng English, jpn Japanese, kor Korean
