The Library now reproduces this manuscript in facsimile by collotype process as limited edition this time. The reproduction of rare but important materials for the purpose of making them available for wider use might be, I think, one of the dutiful tasks of leading libraries, and we have already published several reproductions of this kind by now. I trust that the present reproduction, too, makes a contribution toward the clarification of the interesting problems concerning the history of our KABUKI play.
