Centre for East and Southeast Asian Studies : Lund University
Citation: The Centre for East and South-East Asian Studies was created in 1997 as the result of a special government initiative. The Centre's task is the encouragement and furtherance of research in Sweden concerning modern East and South-East Asia, including the rapidly changing societies, developing economies and political institutions in the region. Building upon existing strengths at Lund University in these fields, the Centre is actively engaged in developing new contacts with institutions and individuals in Asia and elsewhere.
The Centre is involved in a wide range of activities. These include hosting guest lectures and seminars, and organising and providing financial support to conferences and specialised courses. The Centre maintains what is generally acclaimed to be the best-stocked library in Scandinavia of contemporary books and journals concerning East and South-East Asia. Starting from the autumn term of 2003, the Centre runs an international Masters Programme in Asian Studies, as well as supporting a new course at Lund University titled "Human Rights in East and South-East Asia".

[...] The Center for Orang Asli Concerns was established in 1989 to advance the cause of the Orang Asli -- whether via the greater dissemination of Orang Asli news and views, assisting in court cases involving Orang Asli rights, or in developing arguments for lobbying and advocacy work. That is to say COAC functions primarily as a center to facilitate Orang Asli initiatives at self-development and in defense of their rights, and to support those who want to promote such initiatives.
